The School
Lutheran High School of Kansas City, a parochial secondary school, currently enrolls approximately 110 students in grades 9-12. The school is located off Wornall Road in south
Kansas City. It opened in 1980 with fourty-four 9th and 10th graders and nine full-time and part-time staff. There were 23 students in the first graduating class in May of 1983.
Lutheran High School has since graduated 493 students.
The school's original location was at I-435 and Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Due to the sale and development of the leased property site, the school relocated in
the spring or 1985. The former Benjamin Harrison School in the Kansas City, Missouri public school system was purchased. The school remained at this location for 20 years.
In the summer of 2005, Lutheran High School moved to its current location at 12411 Wornall Road.
