Admissions
Admission Process
Thank you for considering Lutheran High School of Kansas City. The following steps must be completed prior to admission:
- Complete the application and pay the registration fee. This fee is non-refundable unless your student is not accepted.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from one of the following: Pastor or D.C.E., School Counselor, School Administrator, or Teacher
- Provide us with a copy of your student's most recent report card (entering grade 9) or transcript (entering grades 10-12). Request offical transcripts and cumulative records from your student's previous school (form provided).
- Provide us with a copy of your student's birth certificate.
- Complete the health and insurace forms.
- Set up an interview with the registrar and/or principal.
- Take the placement test.

Accreditation
LHS is accredited by North Central Association Accreditation, National Lutheran Schools Accrediation, and Missouri Non-Public School Accreditation.

Tuition:
Tuition at LHS for the 2010-2011 school year is $7,020. Students who are members of one of our association churches pay $6,600 and students from proportionate share association churches pay $6,140. There is a tuition discount of 20% for the second child in a family. Tuition is paid directly to the high school. Payment options are available through the business manager.

Fees:
A non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of application. The fee is:
- Re-enrollment (if paid by February 15): $200
- Early enrollment for New Students (if paid by February 15): $200
- All enrollment after February 15: $275
A second child from the same family pays only a $100 registration fee. The book/activity fee of $395 per student is due by September 30th.

Financial Assistance:
Lutheran High School assists families in making Christian education affordable. Financial aid will be dispersed based on need and available funding.
Application forms are available in the registrar's office. Studenst must be enrolled in order to be elligible for aid.
The deadline for submitting financial aid applications is May 15th.
