On Saturday, May 5th, the Lutheran High School of Kansas
City’s Track teams competed at District competition at Midway High School in
Cleveland, MO. Both teams came away from the Meet with Championship Plaques.
Medaling for the Girls; Team at the Meet for the Girls were:
Camryn Robins (1st 100m, 1st 200m); Madison Chiappetta (1st 1-mile, 2nd 800m); Anne
Thomas (1st 2-mile, 2nd 1-mile); Abigail Allred (1st 400m, 3rd 800m); Molly
Miller (1st Long Jump); Julia Gire (1st Triple Jump); Maria Trozzolo (2nd 100m
Hurdles, 3rd 300m Hurdles); Zoey Schroeter (3rd 100m, 3rd 200m); Hannah Mundt (3rd
2-mile); and Reese Pohlman (4th High Jump)
The 4x800 Relay Team(Anne Thomas, Lauren Ada, Abigail
Allred, Madison Chiappetta) place 1st; the 4x100 (Julia Gire, Molly Miller,
Lauren Gruber, Camryn Robins) placed 1st; the 4x400 (Madison Chiappetta, Zoey
Schroeter, Lauren Ada, Abigail Allred) placed 2nd; and the 4x200 (Zoey
Schroeter, Camryn Robins, Julia Gire, Molly Miller) took 3rd at the event.
Placing for the Boys’ team and adding to the points for
their first place finish were: Christien Robins (1st 100m, 1st 200m); Jesse
Schultz (1st 2-mile, 2nd 1-mile); Nathan Fischer (2nd 300m Hurdles); Christian
Hinrichs (3rd 800m); Jayden Anderson (4th Shot Put, 4th Discus); and Jackson
Horn (4th 800m).
The Boys’ 4x800 (Nathan Fischer, Tim Mitchell, Jackson Horn,
Jesse Schultz) finished in first; the 4x400 (Christien Robins, Jesse Schultz,
Jackson Horn, Nathan Fischer) placed 3rd; and the 4x200 (Jeremiah Schultz,
Jackson Horn, Julian Peterson, Ian Gannan) took 4th.
Medalists will move on to sectionals at Carl Junction High
School on Saturday, May 12th.
