Mr. Aaron Bruening will be teaching our upper level math courses and will be our new boys’ varsity basketball coach.  He has a wealth of experience in both areas and he will also be teaching the dual credit math courses.  He and his family are members at St. Matthew, Lee’s Summit.

Mr. Peter Olson returns to the Lutheran High School of Kansas City.  Mr. Olson, a 1992 graduate of LHSKC, will be teaching our band and choir programs.  Originally a Concordia Chicago graduate, he has an advanced music degree from Northwestern University and we are excited about the talents God has given him to share with our community.  He will also be working with some of our feeder grade schools in the area.  He is a member at Christ, Platte Woods.

Mrs. J’Nae McCoy is a recent graduate from Concordia University Nebraska.  She will be teaching in the areas of English, religion, and languages.  She was married in early June and is excited about receiving her first call to LHSKC.  She and her husband, Briar, are residing in Olathe as they seek a church home.

Finally, Mr. Mark Mills will teach World History and Government. Mark coached the undefeated Varsity Men's Tennis team last spring and this year will coach both the boys' and girls' teams.

We are excited to add these excellent teachers to an already outstanding staff.
