Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to Comparative Religions. With your cooperation we will work together to provide the best possible learning environment in which the student is successful.
Overview
This two semester course will briefly examine several major world religions as well as evangelical denominations that emerged from the Protestant movement. The majority of the course will deal with training an effective response to the various cults of Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism in its various forms including the New Age Movement. We will discuss other major world religions as well as their practices, traditions, and beliefs. This is basically a training course in which students will learn to apply their knowledge of Biblically based Christian doctrine in a response to the teachings of Christian cults and non-Christian world religions.
