On Saturday, July 29 th the Class of 1983, Lutheran High’s first graduating class, celebrated its 40 th reunion at O’Neil’s in Prairie Village. The group enjoyed a happy hour, sponsored by LHSKC, and a meal in a private room at O’Neil’s. The festive event featured 11 graduates from the class and their significant other, as well as a couple of alums from other classes. The party continued afterwards at the home of Ray Newcomer. New Executive Director Adam Kirsch and Dr. Cary Stelmachowicz were able to meet and greet the honored reunion guests.

On behalf of LHSKC we would like to make sure our distinguished alums alert us about any future reunions. We would like to take part and contribute to the festivities of each event. So, if your class is from 83’ (40 years) 88’ (35 years) 93’ (30 years) or 98’ (25 years) or 2003’ (20 years) give me a call and we will help you with memorabilia, photos, yearbooks and the like that might enhance your event.

Alums are an important part of the Lutheran High School of Kansas City’s story over the last 43 years. We want to hear your stories, celebrate the past, honor your accomplishments, and continue to support our school at the same time. Not celebrating a reunion yet but have important news….send us pics and info and we will try and publish the information on this page of our website. You are important to us. To God be the glory!

On Monday, September18th come and join us at the Karl Birnstein memorial Golf Tournament for Lutheran High. The event is held at Creekmore Golf Club in Raymore. Play begins at 1 p.m. and the event is a shotgun, four-person scramble. Dinner is included in the entry fee. More information is online, so sign up soon. Everyone plays and enjoys the event. There are many prizes available and this is an opportunity to help fund student scholarships for the school. Come out and enjoy the day.

We are counting on you to continue the legacy that is LHSKC—Knight Nation.
